Sinopsis

Zheng Xiyue lives in a complex blended family. Her father and stepmother, Lin Jiacui, are extremely strict with her, and she recently lost a scholarship after a failed dance competition. Facing financial difficulties, her dream of pursuing dance seems out of reach. Enter Qu Junmo, who unexpectedly invests in her education, enabling Xiyue to continue her studies. Deeply moved, Xiyue holds Qu Junmo close in her memory. Xiyue's home life is stifling. Lin Jiacui verbally abuses both Xiyue and her younger stepbrother, Lin Zhengdong, pushing him to the brink of severe depression. To avoid worsening his condition, Xiyue chooses to endure her stepmother's and stepsister Rongrong's escalating mistreatment. One day, Xiyue finds Qu Junmo’s hotel room card and returns it, only to find him under the influence of a drug. A night of passion follows, but in the morning, Junmo leaves money on the table. Xiyue sees this as an expression of gratitude, and they part ways. Five years later, Xiyue, now a dance instructor, grapples with Zhengdong’s deteriorating mental health. Desperate for better care for him, she begins working at a club where Rongrong also works. Here, Xiyue encounters Qu Junmo again, assisting him in escaping his scheming cousin Qu Huaijin. To protect her, Junmo pretends not to recognize her, and a series of misunderstandings deepen the rift between them. Junmo later intervenes to save Xiyue from a gang encounter, reigniting their connection. He learns of her family’s vanity and selfishness, especially when they try to seize her mother’s dowry for Rongrong’s wedding. Qu Junmo invites Xiyue and Zhengdong to move in with him, and their romance begins to flourish. Rongrong tries to pass herself off as Xiyue at a family gathering but fails miserably, especially when asked to perform a dance she cannot execute. Xiyue steps in, impressing Junmo’s grandmother, who becomes fond of her.
